My Injuries

Image
How I got them and how I am living with them.  Sheila The first of my three major injuries is Sheila. Sheila is my left knee cap. My left knee cap minutes before it decide to flee and Sam Sheila happened to cause some trouble February 6th of 2016. My teammates and I stayed late after school to rehearse our routine for our Florida Band Master’s Association evaluation. Every year each auxiliary group must put together a routine to be judged at the local level. If you get a superior at the local level, then you move on to state. Our evaluation day was February 8th, only two days away. The previous week I had been working extra hard to make sure my solo was perfect. To the point where my body was exhausted. We had already run through the routine multiple times, starting with counts, and moving on with music. This was going to be our last run through until the next day. Our very first trick was a toss illusion and I had been dropping it all day. I had a headache and was running a...

My Summer After High School

Image
My Summer After High School Hello! This is the story of the time I moved 221 car miles away from all my friends and family (except for Aislyn).  The night I graduated was a night to remember. Graduating top 7% of my 350+ class, a GPA of 4.2, fireworks going off as we tossed our caps, and 2016 hits playing in the background was pure happiness to my 18-year-old self. Do not get the wrong impression though. I worked hard to keep my grades up, but probably not as hard as I could have. I was happy with having As and Bs, and did not see a reason to drive myself crazy if I happened to get a B or a C. I did however drive myself crazy if I got any lower than that, which only happened in my dual enrolled trigonometry class. I still had time to have a job as a cashier at the Carousel Supermarket on Front Beach Road, still had time to hold a leadership position in my high school marching band, and still had time to hangout with my friends and family during my free time. As much as I loved li...

A Brief Introduction of Me!

Genesis Study

Image
Chapter One We all know that Genesis is the first book of the Bible. When people think about Genesis, they mainly only think about the origin or creation. Well, as you probably assumed, there is much much more included in the book of Genesis.  Yes, the first chapter talks about God creating the heavens and the earth, but let's take a closer look at some verses. "God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness." - Genesis 1:4 "God called the dry ground 'land', and the gathered waters he called 'seas.' And God saw that it was good." - Genesis 1:10 "The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." - Genesis 1:12 "God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it w...

FAQs About My Bible Studies

Why host Bible Studies? I feel as if I have been called to write about my readings and my studies. I feel the need to share the word of God with my friends and all who visit my blog. Maybe, if you are someone struggling with your relationship with Christ, these writings can help you. Maybe, if you are someone struggling with day to day life, with anxiety and stress, with finding your purpose, these writings can help you. I cannot promise that my writings can help, but I can promise you that God's word cannot hurt. Why by book and not by topic? In a way, studying the Bible book by book is studying by topic. A lot of the chapters talk about specific subjects. By studying the Bible from beginning to end, one can really get a better sense of what the Bible contains. If you just skip through the Bible looking for verses that fit your need, do you really know God's word? I also believe that every Christian should read the Bible all the way through at least once in...
